| | Welcome to the home of the Massachusetts State Cricket League on the web. The MSCL was founded in 1906 and has been in continuous operation since the early 1960s.
Games are played throughout the Boston area and as far away as Wrentham. Take a look at our schedule and come see a game or two over the course of the season. We generally begin the season on the first weekend of May and end in the middle of September. There's always someone around who knows the game and will be very willing to share that knowledge.
If you've just moved to the area or are just finding out about cricket in Massachusetts, and you would like to play for a member club, send an email (or call) directly to the club. Check the list here for phone numbers and email addresses.
If you're a fan of the game then we welcome you to a relaxing weekend afternoon - we hope to see you soon. If you're a player, then good luck and see you on the field!

Biography:
Edwy Everson Mascoll better known as “Easy Ed” or just “Mascoll”
Sunrise June 1, 1947; Sunset December 22, 2011
Edwy Mascoll was born in the Caribbean island of Barbados; he grew up between the villages of Porey Spring St. Thomas and Orange Hill in St. James. Ed migrated to the Unites States in 1976 where he immediately became involved in his favorite game of cricket. He became a member of the Massachusetts State Cricket League (MSCL). Ed has one of the most extensive cricketing resumes of all of the members of the MSCL, he represented United Athletic Cricket Club, MIT Cricket Cub, Northshore Cricket Team, Lynn Cricket Team, Cavaliers Cricket Club, Unity Sports & Cultural Club, Caricom Cricket Club and most recently Privilege Cricket Club where he last played in the 2010 cricket season at the age of 64.
Ed was not just a member of the cricket clubs but he is a founding member and former president of Caricom and Cavaliers Cricket Clubs, he has always been dedicated to cricket in Massachusetts and he represented the MSCL on several occasions. Ed travelled outside of the USA to play cricket for various teams in the MSCL; he played in Canada, Bermuda, Barbados and England where he scored 100 not out on one occasion. Ed was a real lover of the game of cricket and he loved competition, many people would comment on his deportment and style while on the cricket field, his collar always upright and his whites never had a speck of dirt on them, for this he was given the nickname “Garry” after the great Sir Garfield Sobers.
Ed Mascoll was a man of real character and well known around the Boston community. A true team player; with his own slogan: “Nobody beats Mascoll, nobody!!!!” [while beating his chest]
He will truly be missed.
The Executive Board and Members of the Massachusetts State Cricket League pay tribute to the late Edwy “Easy Ed” Mascoll and extend our sincere condolences to his family. May he Rest-In-Peace!
